Scheduling Service

  1. Location: Where Are you located or will the car be located in an area we service?  We need to know this because we are a mobile service!
  2. Vehicle Identification Number: We require the  Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) when providing an accurate quote or scheduling service it is impossible to be 100% sure without the VIN because newer vehicles can have as many as 20 different windshield replacement options to choose from and finding the exact part required for replacement on your vehicle is imperative.  Without the VIN we may make a mistake and provide you with the wrong quote and waste your time.  We care about your time.  The VIN can be located on your insurance card, registration, title, original owner window sticker or on the vehicle located in front of the steering wheel at the bottom left corner of the glass.  Sometimes the vin will be inside the door jam on a sticker.  Most people will tell us they can find their VIN on their insurance bill/statement by searching their email.
  3. Auto Glass Part Is the part needing replaced on the Driver’s side or Passenger’s side, Front or Rear, stationary or movable, clear or privacy tinted, in the door or body?
  4. Auto Glass Features: (This one may be very difficult) this is why we require the vin for an accurate quote.  Mistakes can be made and mistakes cost time and we are always looking to save your time.
  5. Auto Glass Quality: Name Brand/OEM/Factory Part or OEE/Premium Aftermarket Part or even Standard Aftermarket Part?

At Newport Beach Mobile Glass, the first thing we determine is where you are located. This ensures that we can provide mobile windshield replacement at your provided location. Once we have determined that you are in our service area , we will ask for the year, make, model, as well as the body style of your vehicle and VIN.  Then we will ask which part needs to be replaced, as well as what options are required, including the color, attachments, heating elements, etc. This allows us to narrow down which glass and parts are needed in order to provide a quote.

Then, it’s a matter of deciding what quality of glass you would like: OE, OEM, American made or “premium aftermarket”, or an imported part or “standard aftermarket.”  Typically, OE and OEM glass is the most expensive and imported glass is the least expensive. The price of the glass is also determined by how common the particular part and car is. For example, if you have a really unique or exotic vehicle that has an uncommon body style, then usually the glass itself is going to cost a lot more than what a standard model would cost. Vehicles that utilize a lot of technology in the windshield, such as an Advanced Driver Assistance System for example, will also cost more due to Recalibration. For example, a windshield with Forward Collision Alert or Lane Departure Warning System technology will cost more than a windshield without this technology. Currently, the average price for a basic windshield replacement is approximately $350 to $650 and For a high-end installation, it could range between; $1000-$2,000 and up!
